A secure browser
Use Webbcall over HTTPS in a browser that supports microphone access.
Webbcall lets you enter a phone number, review the live destination rate, and place an outbound call from a secure, microphone-capable browser. The person you call receives a regular phone call and does not need Webbcall.
Webbcall keeps the calling flow inside the browser while the destination receives the call on its normal mobile or landline connection.
Use Google or email sign-in, then allow microphone access when the browser requests it.
Select the destination country and enter a valid phone number. Webbcall validates the number and checks the current rate.
Confirm the displayed rate and caller ID, then start the call. Paid calling uses your available Webbcall credit balance.
You do not need phone hardware, but the browser still needs the basics for a live voice call.
Use Webbcall over HTTPS in a browser that supports microphone access.
Grant microphone permission and make sure another application is not holding the device.
Network quality, latency, and device audio quality can affect the call experience.
Use the dialer or rate calculator to check current destination availability and rates.
Important calling facts are shown as normal page content and are not hidden inside the dialer preview.
| Topic | How Webbcall handles it |
|---|---|
| Rates | Live destination rates are calculated before a call. See the international rate calculator. |
| Credits | Add prepaid credit through the credit page. Calling credit has no calling subscription requirement. |
| Free allowance | Eligible new accounts receive two free billed minutes for US-bound calls only. |
| Caller ID | Use the shared Public Pool caller ID or verify a personal number you already own. Dedicated numbers are coming soon. |
| Emergency calls | Emergency numbers are blocked. Webbcall is not a replacement for an emergency-capable phone service. |
No mandatory download is required. Webbcall runs in a secure browser with microphone access. An optional installable web app is available on supported devices for quicker access.
Eligible new accounts receive two free billed minutes for outbound calls to the United States. This is a limited introductory allowance, not unlimited free calling, and unused free minutes are removed after a credit purchase.
Webbcall requires a secure browser environment that supports microphone access through mediaDevices and getUserMedia. Support can vary by browser, device, operating system, and permission settings.
